Please tell us a little about yourself, your business and your HCR journey:
I’ve been working with women as a PT for five years now, and am very excited to be able to bring the Holistic Core Restore programmes to the Isle of Wight.
It has bee my own experience of becoming a mother (I have two girls who are 3 and 18 months) that really reinforced the message to me that we really need more concentrated and specific training methods for women that take in the whole picture – and go beyond ‘getting back in shape’.
I experienced an umbilical hernia after my first born, and managed a sizeable diastasis during my second pregnancy with the help of a brilliant women’s health physio – so I recognise and value the importance of having great links between the fitness and the physio world, and finding an approach that fits each woman for whatever stage they are at in their lives.
I truly believe that we could all do with knowing our bodies better, and respecting the changes that go on within us throughout our lives, so that we can manage these changes with confidence. I always say that understanding the ‘why’ makes the ‘how’ so much easier, and HCR is all about empowering women through education.
My hope is that through the HCR programmes, I can reach a wider audience of women to help them heal, restore and strengthen their bodies and their inner confidence.
